Pen kits

I've turned a few pens now and I'm getting the hang of it. I'd like to do some more and I like to European Pen kit from Axminster (probably because it's quite cheap and I tend to give pens away).

I use the pens myself and find that the actual component that has the nib and the ink isn't very good. My pens often stop working and require a good scribble to get them going again.

Does anyone know where I can buy better inserts from?

Yep the ink refils are generally poor and you can buy much better, http://www.beaufortink.co.uk/ is one and if you speak to Phil he'll sort you out.

They're called Cross refills or Cross style, available at most stationers and Amazon etc.

I've not tried the Beaufort inks, but i have got some Cross #8513's here which i believe are the replacements you're after. Send me a pm with your name and address and i'll pop a couple in the post for you... or, i'm just up the road off the M27 (about a mile or so from J7) you can come and grab a couple if you like.?
