Thanks Johnny - the ML7R looks a good alternative but for the moment, I'm going to keep searching for the S7. Cheers, C

Good luck. the gearboxes are as expensive as the lathes themselves.
the ml7r is a super 7 minus the long cross slide. some will be very worn out on the slides.
