My new lathe

Last week I bought a Coronet No. 3 and today I was allowed in the workshop all day . Here are my first turnings on the Coronet.

Chestnut 7x2

Maple 8x2

Oak 6x3

Spalted beach 6x3

Excellent form and shape, and impressively finished.

I especially like the extra bits of detail, just a bit, not too much.

Just please don't tell me that you've never turned a single piece of wood before today?!

OK admit it, you've done this before!!! That's really good looking turnings there. Like the hollow form.

Thanks for the encouragement, I've been doing this for about 18 months. This is the first turning I've done in a while as I had an accident with my bandsaw :twisted: I don't think you'll want to see that picture. Here are some things I made from 3x4 & 3x3 oak and beach on my Elf.
