This is technology at its best. I think worth a watch even if you don't like art.
I find the best way to view a painting is with a guide, there is always a lot more there than I can ever see.

This prog does that with a HD image that can be zoomed until you see the cracks in the paint, while the radio prog talks you through it.

Use the same link and open another page
Scroll down below the image and on the left hand side you will see ' You can deep zoom and explore the painting...' click and open this link.

Start the audio going and then revert to the painting and move about as they talk you thro it.

Can't be many people who don't like art. That seems like it's going to be an excellent series. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.
 
I half-heard it, it was good. I need to sit down and listen to it properly.
One thing struck me. Did you see the cows in the far field? They must be GIGANTIC!
Amazing detail though.
