Thought you might be interested in work thats going on near where I live on building a new aqueduct

First two pictures is over a year ago showing the bailey bridge put there as a temporary measure to allow walkers to cross the river after a fifty year gap.

The pipes still carried water to the oil Industrys further down the valley and the payments kept the canal open, a large paper mill know uses the water.

Apparently the span will be the longest in the UK for a aqueduct.

We've got the Edstone aqueduct on the Stratford-on-Avon canal that takes the canal over the road and railway.
Not sure of the longest single span, but in total it's 754 feet long. Very high and quite a sight, especially when you are up there looking down!
