holtzapfelle chisels

Does anybody know anything about these older chisels? (Holtzapfelle)
Have been asked to find out if they have any value.
sorry can't do pictures yet as daughter not here to show me how to use the ********* camera /computer!

Are you buying or selling? They might look like chisels and be something else - the firm had some specialist and some general lines. You need to get the camera off your daughter, I think.

Holtzapffel (English man / company with a German name) produced arguably the finest ornamental lathes ever produced. We are probably only reaching the stage now where top notch high tech equipment would match it. A good set of holtzapffel tools in nice condition will fetch (for what they are) extremely good money, you might consider a specialist auction rather than eBay.
