I just added headroom calculations to the stair calculator at
http://www.blocklayer.com/Stairs/StairsEng.aspx
You need to check the 'Show Headroom' box for it to draw the headroom measurement. Is this set up ok for the way you do it in the UK? And what is the minimum headroom and min/max rise and run over there?
It all seems to be different in for each country/state/county etc
Thanks for any feedback

For private residential stairs, the maximum rise is 220mm and the minimum going is 220mm. Maximum pitch is 42 deg.

Headroom is 2.0m minimum, measured from ceiling to landing or ceiling to the pitch line of the stair (that is the line connecting the nosings).

Thanks for the info.
There are so many different regulations around the place, I ended up just setting it to display anything that might be to small/large/short/long or steep in red text
