Parts made to fit a home made rail and to improve dust extraction on my Hitachi C7U. The rail has gripping base that requires no clamps and you wouldn't believe where I got the tape from and how cheaply.
 
That looks very good Andy. I guess that the hardest part is making sure that relatively thin and narrow guide batten is perfectly straight. The saw boards I've made all use 75 - 100 mm wide "factory edge" from a plywood sheet because there is very little lateral bending.
 
Yes, I've been using a factory edge from a sheet of 6mm MDF to set the batten then run the saw to create its own straight line. We just used it to fit a kitchen and it really worked well, from cutting worktops etc then stripped back for splitting 2x2's down for batten.
