I‘ve acquired an ML8 having passed my Tyme Avon onto a relative. I’m keen to know does anyone know of a source for the relevant chuck insert for an Axminster chuck as would meet the spec on it: I believe rear; left hand thread 3/4 12 tpi or even the forward right hand thread 1 inch 12 tpi? I’ve had an interest in woodwork over the years, output has been limited by time, but am now retired and hope to do more. Such as I have done includes some Windsor chair making, Rocking horses, standard lamps , workbenches and bowls. Any advice on the thread insert would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. Try Charnwood tools or, as you are in Devon. Have you thought of the obvious and go to Axminster tools and ask them?
