Seriously, SWMBO would love to keep this, but we've really nowhere to put it, and rather than put it on freecycle and have it snaffled by someone who'll just flog it on or smash it up to fund a drug habit (ok, bit carried away there) she wondered if any of my wood/furniture loving brethren on the forum would like it, gratis.

You're not wrong, I'd be well chuffed if I was capable of building something like this, but the sad fact is that we don't have space for it. We'll probably hang on to it for another week or so and if no-one is interested by then I reckon it's got a date with a sledgehammer.
