Figure of 8 table top fittings

I think thats what they are called anyway. They are flat metal (steel?) fittings with two holes in. One is screwed to the table apron (usually slightly recessed) and the other is screwed to the tabletop.

Has anyone any idea where I can get these from in the UK?

I've tried the usual suspects - Hafele, Isaac Lord, Woodfit, Screwfix etc - no joy. Any help gratefully received.

I had the same problem. In the end I made my own from some brass stock.
If anyone knows of a supplier, please post it!

Dunno about UK suppliers offhand - I suspect an old hardware store is as good a bet as anything.
