european walnut dye

I have just tried some Liberon WDPW500 500ml Palette Wood Dye - Walnut, however, it has come out darker than I thought (only one coat applied). So can I somehow make it lighter? or can you buy a more European walnut dye?

then it already is European Walnut.

Just thin it 50:50 or even 27:75 with water, then build up to your desired shade with multiple coats. Also it'll look a bit lighter once it's fully dried and sanded after say 48 hours.
