Trying to source Birds Eye Maple veneered boards, has anyone come across these.

Lawcris in Leeds will supply them on 18mm MDF - don't know if they're a stock item or not as Lawcris also have a veneering department. Another possibility is Manchester Panel Products.

Have just spoken with David Shawyer of Shawyers in Enfield and they will either veneer and lip sheets of any material(wood base) or veneer and lip my own cut to size materials. Lead times are three to four weeks.

What a helpful and pleasant sounding chap.
I was surprised there was anyone there at this time of day.

All of the firms I ahve worked for have used Shawyers and been very happy with them.
That was until they old factory burnt down when they where half way through some veneered doors for a rush job :shock:
Cant win them all :wink:
