Best glue for melamine

Hi guys,

I have to strengthen some 18mm mdf melamine, the surface to glue is approx 18" x 36"

I was going to glue some plywood to it but need advise on the mating surfaces. The melamine is extremely none porous but the plywood very porous.

It's for a treadmill so needs to be a solid fix. The melamine had just started to fracture on the underside.

What would be the recommended glue?

Polyurethane or araldite.

Just been looking up the Polyurethane and that looks good to me.
