Thanks to the help from forum members here have now got my Facebook page up. Had a couple of enquiries already, and just wondered how other Facebook users take payment? Do you recommend PayPal or are you happy to use direct bank transfer? Be nice to hear pros and cons from experienced users

I would go for Paypal...... bit iffy using direct bank transfers nowadays, if you get yourself a Paypal account you will give them your bank details and then whenever you pay or recieve a payment via Paypal its all automatic and you won't need to upload your bank details again. Be careful when using Paypal and make sure you read ALL small print on any emails you get from them, they will never ask you to give them your bank details once you have set your Paypal account up.
I have used it for years with no problems but I am extra cautious when using it and i think this has kept my bank details safe.
Cheers
Brian
Ps when/if you decide to set up a Paypal account use a totally different email address for recieving your posts and payments etc and keep that for Paypal.

Hi gilljc
What your facebook page name, so I can get the wife to like the page then that would give you more exposure.
Rob

Thanks Claymore, I already have paypal account, because I buy a lot online  it is set up using my email and phone number, at the moment is using my credit card, but could change it to my regular bank account.

Rob, thank you too, my facebook name is Cirrus Woodcrafts :)

Oh deary me! will I ever get the hang of technology? For some reason friend requests have been coming through via a text message on my phone! I have finally figured out how to work them and accept them, they don't show on the facebook page (hammer)
Rob, did you make your request in your own name? if so haven't received it. Got one from a lady with the initials Y T?

UNBELIEVABLE!! seem to have set up two pages called cirrus woodcrafts, one is attached to my personal page, and I can post pictures and stuff, but not make or receive friend requests, the other one gets the friend requests, but I can't do anything with it, it is empty :( wasting valuable scrolling time on this #-o
So those of you whose friend requests I have accepted, have you been looking at an empty facebook page?

Hi Gill
You should have set up your page via your personal page, to receive the requests you need to sign in to cirrus page and you can 'act' as cirrus otherwise you are still Gill if this makes sense..
