Almost there.... anyone got any experiences with the Elektra Beckum TYP BAS450 WN

I've read good and bad

Hi, I have one and like it.

I have just fitted a Tuffsaws M42 3 TPI blade and it'll sail through more or less anything I throw at it.

Plenty of capacity.

Dust extraction is a bit hit and miss and mine didn't come with a rip fence but it's a nice basic reliable BS IMHO.

Sorry to hijack this old thread .....
Hi Chipmunk , If you own or know this band saw i would appreciate some advice ... re thinking of buying one on ebay .
but no idea what sort of quality machine it is . i know its prob from the 80s but that not an issue if quality is good.

What sort of 'price ' machine new would you compare it to ?
