    ROS for finishing

I use a metabo duo. 150mm . smooth finish relatively quiet and I usually use with one hand on the level. Variable speed helps to keep the vibration down as well.

    WiFi Radio; any good ?

I find it excellent . I've been using a Soundbridge Roku and Logik for the last 8 or 9 years. As long as your Wifi is good no probs. With the Logik the Wifi was an internal USB stick and I changed it to an ethernet dongle . Both worked well. Also have an app ( UK Radio) on my phone as well. As I...

    Robland (Startrite) SD310 planer thicknesser

Mine is on right side of the infeed table. Take a look at the manual it has some info on setting blades. So when you adjust or insert the blades they should barely touch the ruler/straight edge which you use on the outfeed table when setting it. Danny

    Robland (Startrite) SD310 planer thicknesser

I have one of these and it can easily be done. You probably need to adjust the two height screws that fit into the two slots on the blade down quite a bit before retightening all the bolts that should hold the gib in. Also make sure you get rid of all the resin that builds up in the vicinity...

STeve has hit the nail on the head. You need at least one known angle or another hypotenuse between 2 of the sides.

    Sharpened large drillbits not cutting

Ah now I see pics it makes more sense what you're trying to do. On the drilling , sharpening thing not sure what the prob is, I watched a vid on youtube from Ave recently and as long as the flutes are clean and a drop of oil to lubricate then should be ok, if the angles of sharpening are good...

    Sharpened large drillbits not cutting

That sounds like a lot of metal to remove with a drill. I am no expert but I would probably try a decent holesaw, make sure you keep the swarf cleared more or less constantly with an airline. Other methods might be if you have a friend with a plasma torch. I am guessing the hole will be covered...

    Bore on. Painting MDF Skirting.

I definitely recommend preprimed. Over the last couple of years have had to do a customers house and they had bought raw mdf. There is no primer available here so used watered down latex and PVA mixed into it. If you can get it use Zinser to prime then 2 or 3 coats gloss. The curved bits of the...

Wow,that is expensive from both those retailers. Its made by other companies now. Last year I was paying about £4 a litre for the Glyphosate copy. Just as good as roundup. Im sure there are alternatives in the UK.
