That's the thing with pen turning, they are so collectable. I have the same issue where I make a pen then show it off to SWMBO and it's gone - Always a birthday or other celebration to have a "gift" made. But as John says, it's great to see your work admired and that "feathering the cap"...

Some kits do need it - some don't. the brass tube has a notch in it, and I just followed that with a fine tipped dremel bit on slow speed.
