Planer Thicknesser - Old one with a helical head?

Pls look for Rag’n’bone Man on youtube….. but not the wonderful songsmith! There are two relevant videos..first where he contrasts and compares planer thicknesser choices before purchase and a second one where he reveals his final choice. Paul

Planer Thicknesser - Old one with a helical head?

ITech 260SS in my view beats them all for number of cutting heads (66) thus quietness and quality of cut, ease of conversion from planer to thicknesser. I’ll post a link to a really useful youtube on planer thicknesser choice when I find it. Paul

    Severance negotiations

Like Keith I held a very similar role. Blackswanwood’s advice is very sound. Most importantly you should not agree to any severance offer in the meeting and advice should be sought after the meeting from citizen’s advice or an employment legal specialist. Always useful to take written notes.

    Sander and vacuum

Interesting as I was just about to buy the CT15 and had same thoughts about limited volume collection. Which cyclone have you used with it?

Re Sarah Raven. Really very expensive and purely online. High end marketing approach rather than good solid horticultural foundation.

Withdrawn JESSEM ROUTER TABLE FENCE MAST-R-FENCE ll, BRAND NEW AND BOXED

So minus off local Canada sales tax as item is for export. UK Import duty would probably be 2.5 pct or less as there is no machine, but depends on applicable HS code (Customs harmonisation code) which I cannot find at the moment..but probably looked on as a miscellaneous item, and vat at usual...

Another mystery tool, maybe not so mysterious!

As pgrbff suggests, may well hook around a tab at the back of a boot to help pull up boots. Or could be an ogre’s nose pick I guess?!

Another mystery tool, maybe not so mysterious!

If am right, this shows its use how does a boot button hook work - Google Search If wrong then I am sure there will be other ideas out there 😁

Another mystery tool, maybe not so mysterious!

Looks like a boot button hook from the Victorian era. Paul

    Dust extraction

I will be buying a planer/thicknesser with spiral block in the near future, probably a 44 or 66 blade flavour, advancing years making alot of hand planing more difficult than it used to be.... I will need dust extraction, but every product for this appears to be excessively noisy. Does anyone...

Recently retired and taken up my woodworking again after a 40 year pause - first job is to find a replacement belt for my venerable Myford ML8 (1956 model) as the original belt is starting to split. Paul the Roamer
