    Removing a wash hand basin

Mildly OT but.... I always hide leftover floor and wall tiles either under the kitchen cabinets, behind the plinth/toekick, or behind bath panels etc. plus any other potentially useful offcuts that will fit. Completely out of sight in an otherwise totally dead area. I just imagine that people...

    Festool domino: benefits + price

However your point on 2nd hand values is exactly how I justified purchasing one. The majority of the money spent is recoverable by selling the domino, it's just money tied up in a very slowly depreciating asset which can be liquidated with relative ease at any time. It's probably down to years...

    Coloured epoxy - Small amounts

My wife makes various epoxy Christmas decorations and buys the 1:1 epoxy from Amazon along with 25ml measuring cups (disposable) It's mixed 50/50 epoxy/hardner which is what you will need for small amounts. All the others it will be difficult to mix such small amounts as it's difficult to...

    Drill Driver Set?

I like the Bosch professional 12v stuff with a couple of 3ah batteries. And a cheap SDS titan from Screwfix for bigger stuff.

    Dehumidifiers

I have the DD8, it's a bit more specialised than the others (iirc) and can work at a far lower ambient temperature. Hence it is very popular with the yachting fraternity. Personally I don't think you will see much benefit from changing

    anyone seen one of these?

You can get them for a tenner on banggood if you are feeling suitably risque. Bloody stupid idea though

    Anyone seen these on sale?

Since the OP couldn't see them on the website, a link would probably be useful...

    Radio for workshop

Out of interest? What's wrong with an analogue radio? I have a Tivoli Audio model one that I may move on, the sound is sooo much better than a any of the tinny speakers on Alexa etc, especially for programs that are more words than music. Alas I find I simply don't listen to as much radio as I...

which compact forward sliding mitre saw as gift for my Dad.

I am new to woodworking so the KS60 is the only saw I have owned, I am amazed by how smooth and powerful it is. I have mainly been cutting carcasing, ply and studwork timber so far but the cuts are absolutely perfect and incredibly smooth. I made a set of sofa legs last weekend and they cut so...

Postage cost for a long parcel

I don't think you will get cheaper or better unless you have something like a tnt trade account, it's just too big. When posting bikes etc parceforce is always the cheapest and normally the only one. The price WILL be cheaper if you don't pre pay, just take it into your local depot instead

    Any Festool owners?

I have the KS60 and love it, it's easy to use, intuitive, the cuts are absolutely perfect and so clean. Dust is absolutely minimal used with the extractor and it's easily portable as I sometimes need to take it if I am helping relatives etc. I would prefer a laser than the led but just didn't...

    Purple meths

I believe the bioethanol you can buy at B&Q etc or online is basically the same as meths I use meths for a totally different purpose (lightweight backpacking, use it in my trail designs tri-tri stove/cone) and I am not a fan of the strong purple died stuff, so I just use bioethanol and mix...

    EGR valve

I thought increased consumption was only during starting/warm up as that's when it needs to generate heat to make the system work. I don't think it is supposed to increase consumption all the time, especially not on a run

    Stretek Multiply?

@8Balls I think 'timber supplies' have a depot in Peterborough, might be worth asking if they deliver as far as Northampton. They have some reasonable prices online but they will normally give a discount in the depot. Everything I received from their stowmarket depot seems to be very good...

Some of the gear but naff all idea

Hello from sunny Suffolk. I am completely new to woodwork and any wood related DIY ( some spectacularly bodged loft boarding and things no one sees excepted) I moved to a new build house 18 months ago and want to make the most of the storage opportunities and a few other jobs so I thought I...
