    Extention bed....er....?

Hi , only me. Just need help with my Axminster CCL lathe. (Each time I read about this model of lathe I find out it is older than I thought it was.) Again, the A to my Q is probably staring me in the face, but what does the extension bed do? I thought it was to increase the distance between...

Hi there, from a lost soul awaiting direction....

I have just noticed that I have two, yes, two user names. One that I started the other day and one from way back? It's strange how the server let them both exist. That seems to be a theme with me just recently. I have a debit card with two, yes, two pin numbers. Having visited the bank to...

Hi there, from a lost soul awaiting direction....

In addition to those 10, here are some more. Spent ages doing the photos, but what the heck? It might be good if a few more guys made a list of their kit. What do they have and what do they want? On top of this stuff there is a mountain of hand tools...

Hi there, from a lost soul awaiting direction....

Do Einhell saws facilitate the insertion of a 6mm (or close) dado stack? I bought my new saw without checking.

I'm worried about what people will think after I die...

I have a very rich friend, in his 80s who is still accumulating stacks of money. He owns an American style Diner, where the Diner operators pay him £3,500 a month to rent. There are lots of things like that he is still involved with. He has 4 houses, full of Alchys, drug addicts and prostitutes...

    What got you started ?

I also got onto a TOPS course in Carpentry & Joinery. I was their first trainee, they did not know what to do with me? Nevertheless, I started off with some defining tests. I got 100% in the first three maths etc. tests and they figured I just go to the joinery and carry on. I had worked with my...

    Barge boards. Making ornate versions.

I am with Limey Lurker on the plantage side. You can pick out a repetitive phrase, say 450mm, work it all out with templates and when you have refined the templates on some scrap pieces, you can rout/jigsaw/bandsaw loads of them out, until you have enough for your boards. WCS, you can only mess...
