Quick update for everyone, my blade from TuffSaws arrived and I fitted it this morning, reset everything from the blade tension to the guide wheels and we’re cooking with gas! Thanks everyone who offered advice, it is much appreciated.

The blade doesn’t feel blunt, but it is just the one that came with the machine and given it’s a Ferrex special from Aldi I suspect it could be better. I have, but only in some 9mm MDf and a bit of pine. It is using the fence and the blade moves away from it. It’s using top guides at about...

Other than the blade not being tracked properly, what else can cause a band saw to wander to the right like this? (I know, a table saw would be ideal but I don’t have one.) It’s Iroko wood so very hard but it’s dry. The one piece I have cut was under a lot of tension and warped straight away...

I normally use the extension arms to make repeated cuts the same length, using them as stop blocks. What can you do to “extend” your stop blocks past the end of the reach?

I’m not going to have the bench in front, the lower half will probably just be wood storage. I also want the bench to be on wheels so can’t attach the wall to it.

@Fergie 307 because it’s a) it’s rented and I don’t want to damage the walls and b) I don’t think the current “cladding” on the wall is up to holding much load.

The 2 main issues I'm having are: 1) I'm not a company, it's for a hobby so most insurance is for companies or sole traders. 2) The workshop is not on the same property as my homne so those policies don't apply.
