    I have two metalwork lathes that weigh two and a half tons each, plus other wood working machines and the oil vaseline works fine Like you in a tin shed

    Mix vaseline with cooking oil wrap in stockinette and wipe over after using machines. Just leave a light deposit

    Have a look at a woodmiser bandsaw, the band runs on loose "V" belts, they are loose to keep the sawdust from building up---and they work Dick

    Paul I always like to see other people inventions, and I am trying to think of one myself ---- A simple set up to turn "off center spindles", Say for instance hammer or chisel handles. Both head stock and tail stock will have to turn in sync. Any bright ideas out there. :cry: No No No...

    Interwood router conversion

    Hi All The interwood router that I have is 3 phase, with a frequency changer. but no collets or nut ,so I am thinking of making brackets to hold a normal router. and doing away with the present interwood head set up. Has anyone done this? And more to the point is an overhead router useful...

    Interwood router

    Thanks Scrit the diagrams are a great help, the collets and nut are very similar to a Raglan brass finishers lathe that I have ----wrong size of course. A router like mine just went for £370 on ebay !!! Regards Dick (County of rutland}

    Interwood router

    Hi everyone I have a overhead pin router that is missing the nut and collets, they are a bit pricey from Interwood. Has anyone got a set to sell me, or failing that if anyone has a machine within reasonable distance that I can have a look at to see what the it can do etc. Regards Dick

    Thanks for the info I will try a Triton as I mostly use routers in a table. I already have the super jaws ,work center etc. and they are well thought out. Dick
