I currently round the rough edges of scaffold boards with my Dewalt Random Orbital.
Works OK but when I do the edges the pads tend to fly off more than I wanted. I now glue the pads on and they last much longer.
I am wondering If I would be much better using a geared sander, especially on...
I make shelving and furniture from reclaimed scaffold boards (Ok I know I am not a proper woodworker) :shock:
I give them a good sanding with a heavy Makita belt sander then finish edges off with an orbital sander.
I am however getting on a bit and the Makita is a big tool for me to throw...
