    Workshop Vacuum

The Fein Dustex get pretty good reviews, and are apparently really quiet, as extractors go... Reasonably priced as well. I don't have one myself as I only heard about them after I got the Festool one.

    Axminster sash clamps

I'm sure Axminster are doing 2 for 1 on their Trade Sash Clamps just now, until they're gone. EDIT... Sorry, I see you already know they have a deal on.

20% Off All Festool Products at FFX Via Their Ebay Site

Thanks for the heads-up on this. I parted with cash for a Triton Spindle/Belt Sander. Arrives tomorrow apparently. The guys at work have also been filling their boots...

    anybody used wera screwdrivers?

I think they're excellent. Better than other bit sets I've had before, and I wouldn't hesitate in replacing them with the same, should I have to. I have the ratchet screwdriver, associated bits and the multi-coloured hex plus allen keys.... ... and also their bottle opener! :)

    Favorite YouTube woodworker

Love his channel. I've followed him from the very beginning. No airs or graces about him, just an honest days work. Definitely one to watch for those doing work around the house... Love his impromptu tool reviews as well, if something's up to the task or not, and worthy of your hard earned!

    Hobby cnc users.

I have an Ooznest WorkBee CNC. Really pleased with it so far, and it's a solid bit of kit. Not used it in anger yet, other than to test it. I'm in the process of building a soundproofing enclosure for it as it's really loud using the dewalt router, and I don't want to upset the neighbours...

    FC guide rail square

Gosforth Handyman has just reviewed this one on his YouTube channel... https://karpenter.co.uk/product/hybrid- ... are-mark-5 Seems to rate it, with a cheaper version coming soon. Link to video - https://youtu.be/RlckrVnUp1Y Edited to add the new cheaper square...

    My mate Billy

Sorry to hear this. The fact you've taken the time to write this post shows how much he/they means to you. We've lost family dogs before as i was growing up. I remember being inconsolable at the time. I now have my own (6 y/o Boxer), and dread the day it all comes to an end. Rest assured...

    Fitting a lid stay

You could mock up a few panels and try different locations to see what suits you best. I have done this previously for lid stays, and it works well. I've never used stays like those in your picture though. Most of the ones I've used come with dimensions for whatever angle you want the lid to...

    Workshop closure

Hi. I'd take the Festool Clamps, particularly the quick-clamp ones (both styles), if you're willing to sell them separate from the MFT. Would require them to be shipped (EH48 postcode). Apologies if someone else has already requested them. Thanks.

    Mattresses

Absolutely go and try mattresses before a purchase. Could be a costly mistake otherwise. I thought I knew what I wanted before walking in to the shop. A quick test of the display mattresses revealed that I needed, and felt far more comfortable on the exact opposite. You can lie on the test...

    WiFi Radio; any good ?

For that kind of money I'd be looking at a Sonos speaker with built in Amazon Echo controls.

    Track saw based shop?

Check out Peter Millard (10minuteworkshop) on YouTube. He's a member on here. His commercial workshop is pretty much entirely tracksaw based, and is a fantastic resource as to what can be done with these tools.

    Michelin CrossClimate + tyres

Well yes... I don't believe anyone has said otherwise.

    Michelin CrossClimate + tyres

Not impossible. Go and read the blurb related to the tyre. It is a summer tyre, rated for winter use. The fact I have done 36k miles in 2 years on the same tyres would suggest that it doesn't degrade.

    Michelin CrossClimate + tyres

I'm running Michelin CrossClimates on my Skoda Octavia VRS estate (225/40/18). I honestly wouldn't use any other kind of tyre now. I've done 36k on them. One of their selling points is the additional mileage you get out them. I think they are awesome. Certainly in the snow, as an all weather...
