Weight of motor and 1950's Rockwell Delta.

Thats a new motor. I dumped a treadmill motor because it was too weak. I want to know if the weight of THIS motor, hanging on the belt is too heavy as a tensioner for the lathe bearings. No, its not stalling. The treadmill motor was stalling.

Weight of motor and 1950's Rockwell Delta.

Is the weight of a motor, too much for the bearings on a lathe? I recently dumped my treadmill/speed control home made setup. Was slow to reach max speed, and stalls too easy. Going back to pulleys and belt. Nothing is locked in yet, till I figure this out.

    Morse taper on a chuck

Given a 3 jaw chuck, but it mounts on a #2 Morse taper. That seems pointless to me. The side pressure just loosens it.

    Help I.D. a jig.

Have been searching for information on how to correctly use this jig. No luck. Any one out here have instructions or knows how to use it? With different thicknesses of wood? Guessing the 3 RHS slots are for alignment of some sort.

    Peter Child Masterchuck

Is this the older version of the chuck that I have? I cant post a link or image. Seems I have the wrong type of account. Mine is a smooth side, cylinder looking, and is the one shown on the Peter Child website. If so, are the instructions compatible. I get no response from Peter Child...
