    I ordered the hegner multicut 2s yesterday lunch time, it arrived this lunch time, wow! good service or what, in my element now, new toy to play with lol :)

    Starting out with a small budget is allways a problem, been there done that! i started scroll sawing just over a year ago for a bit of fun and a hobby ( it still is ) so i purchased a cheap proxxon dhs, not thinking about the fact it only took pin blades which limited me to doing fairly simple...

    Thanks scrimper, yes worth waiting for no doubt, i was lucky enough to have a go on this model yesterday,very impressive,blade changing is something i will get used to, very different from the excalibur,the hegner is so much quieter though and very smooth running...can't wait.....

    Contacted Hegner this morning, multicut 2s variable is out of stock should be getting some in end of this week or early next week, at a loss now lol , can only tidy my man cave so much!

    further to my last post cordy, i use 2" wide cellotape first then the pritt stick for the pattern and then cellotape again

    I use olson blades as well Geoff, mainly 3s 5s and 7s i purchased mine from a supplier and they have been great apart from one batch, when i insert the blade and tighten it the end would snap off immediatly, at first i thought i must have over tightened, but it happened mainly on the number 5s...

    thanks geoff, they ( AXY ) told me yesterday morning that will refund me, they took my card details ( the card i used to pay them with ) been checking my account but nothing as yet, i expect it will have to go through the accounts department or something,i don't know, i will ring them tomorrow...

I purchased mine from Axminster tools and picked it up personally, that was on 13th April this year, on the 17th July ( just 3 months ) the saw packed up on me in as much when i turned it on it would'nt start, then if i left it on...

    Maswerk idea test

    Looks very nice but i suppose most any shape or form can be done with a laser, i can't get enthusiastic about using a laser much prefer using a scroll saw, getting the pleasure of a good finish and just feeling the wood and overcoming difficult areas, well done you if that's what floats your...
