Thanks for your advise and help. Will see if I can hire a jig locally as I have all the rest of the stuff, not sure why but I find working with router is more accurate than a circular saw. Even have some joining pegs which I bought in case I ever needed them, so here goes....................

    Kitchen Worktops

Have thought of that but usually find that on long cuts like that the cut is never perfectly straight. I need to get it right first time as I am joining 2 parts into a corner and don`t have any room for error apart from the cost of replacing the tops if I get it wrong.

    Kitchen Worktops

Anyone got any experience or advise as to cutting kitchen worktops at 45* angle ? Would you recommend using a tapered jig bearing in mind the top is 6 ft long x 2ft wide. Would prefer to use to use table/bench saw for best results. Any thoughts much appreciated :!:

Don't buy Porter Cable in UK!!!

Hi Tony, Have a look at www.maxtool.co.uk they have uk support service for Porter Cable. As for Porter Cable uk, they are not the genuine uk part of the parent company and as for their terms and conditions it falls foul of both uk and euro laws. Any defect in a product within its warrenty is...

    4 All Dewalt RAS owners

Scit, Many thanks for that. I don`t really want to go to the bother of having makeshift items manufactured or use something to do a job it was never intended to do. Do all the older models have the same problem or did the blade brake come in recently? I need to cut a lot of 8 x 4 sheets and...

    Clean & Polish Table Saw

:?: Newbie to the forum and woodworking, So Hello to you all. My question is this, How do you clean the grease off a new table saw and what do you use to keep the surface smooth?
