    Quality birch plywood

I'm after some high quality birch plywood - the usual DIY sheds don't seem to have it, so I'm going to have to get it delivered. Can anyone recommend a supplier, or alternatively where you get yours from? I'm located in Telford, Shropshire. Many thanks!

    Bandsaw blade advice

Being a relatively new bandsaw owner I'm after some advice on bandsaw blade selection. I have a Rexon BS10KA which came with a couple of blades, but I don't think they're particularly good, so I'm going to purchase a couple of new ones from the much recommended Tuffsaws. Basically I'd like...

    Scribing Technique

Not dumb, I googled for a while before finding it! I literally searched for 'flat' floor edging trim.

    Scribing Technique

As an alternative to cover the expansion gap, why not use some of the 'flat' edging strips. Looks smart IMO.

    Scraper staying sharp..

Thanks all. I'll try cleaning the edge, if no dice I'll try nitromors, then hit it with a belt sander to get back to new wood. I'll report back...

    Cheap Workbench

    Cheap Workbench

I've been lurking for a while and gained such a lot from this site, so thought I'd contribute something back. I recently wanted to build a cheap but decent 2x4 workbench and having googled a lot, I didn't find anything that fit the bill, so I decided to design my own. Thought I'd post it on...

    Flexible pipe and fittings

Having not long acquired a planer/thicknesser, I now know the importance of decent dust collection. I have a Karcher shop vac, and plan on making a thein baffle for the top of my dust bin. But before I start cutting away, I need to get flexible pipe (clear would be handy) as well as various...

    Scraper staying sharp..

Thanks for the replies. Carl - Good call, might be worth a go but I try a few other things before I start spending money Ian - I'll try cleaning it with some white spirit, maybe it is getting clogged. And maybe it is a bit of a pansy scraper. It's a marples one from the Bay (although it...

    Scraper staying sharp..

First of all, hello! Been lurking for years and finally joined up. I have a question regarding my scraper. I'm attempting to scrape off the varnish finish from an old table as it's scratched (I will later re finish it) but my scraper stays sharp for about 3-4 strokes then it's useless. Am I...
