its definately not yew. It does have a yellowy green colouration. the barck is almost "leather" like. I thought laburnum but havent anything to compare it to. thanks for the suggestions Andrew

I too have the kity 3636 planer thicknesser. I would love a copy of the manual. can anybody email me or PM? I think I need to adjust the infeed table for level, but cant find anything to adjust. any ideas?
