Post a photo of the last thing you made

Wife wanted the dining room tidied up, managed to squeeze this into my schedule before Christmas. Internals are oak veneers, oak worktops, still needs hand painting at some point.

    The Dog House

No, but if it's a concern just line them with a membrane.

    The Dog House

I've build a few kennels starting with fence panels, cut down, re pinned and corner posts added, also on castors. Lasted very well and cheap. Trouble is my wife would rather have me in them, with her and the 3 hairy beasts looking at me through the toasty living room windows.

A fixture for mitred through dovetails (with a story).

Fabulous, Jacob's comment may be factual (albeit totally unnecessary) but I prefer DT's on show. Great skill.

    Decline in Valued Contributors???

I find it frustrating that many many threads are hijacked by individuals, purely for their personal entertainment, or if they feel in a mischievous mood they start a back door political thread. I look at the forum regularly and post reasonably often at present, however I went through a 9 month...

Energy bills dated end of December 2022

Just over 3000sqft, plus 600sqft annex/ office, Triple garage (heavily insulated with ambient heating) built 6 years ago, as A rated, with GSHP, we have gas to house but nothing running on gas. So all electric £350/ month. I also receive a substantial grant for 7 years for GSHP. I haven't...

    Long plywood kitchen cabinets

It's just overkill, if I use it I only use it on "wet cabinets".

    Long plywood kitchen cabinets

Exterior MDF is very much a "thing", different to MR MDF. It's not as good as Tricoya, but better than MR.

    if you could....

I've always wondered what an old girlfriend would look like, lovely bottom, after 40 years we had a school reunion last year. Wonderful girl but time and gravity have not been kind (same for me). Dr Bob and Bill W, for me.

    Unlocking a mac

I know the thought of parting with some dough is hard for some, but surely if it's that important it would be better to find someone used to doing this sort of thing?

    Gout 😥

I'm allergic to NSAIDS (non seroid anti inflamitary drugs), stupidly I had a very sore shoulder one day and my business partner gave me a Naproxen to help the inflamation. Ended up looking like I'd been 12 rounds with mike Tyson and breathing difficulties. God help me if I end up with gout. I...

Where to buy cornice in the UK?

Great investment, get a good machine for £6-£7k plus vat. I'd only recommend it for someone running up lots of stuff though, overkill for a small shop. Big footprint compared to PT.

Where to buy cornice in the UK?

Am I out of touch with costs, but a spindle with the capacity to take and run up a 100mm cutter, plus a decent power feed for £800 (300 router, 500 table). I was paying a couple of grand 10 years ago for semi decent stuff.

What ideas have you had for reducing Electricity consumption

Heating the Workshop has been my biggest issue, we have 2 x 15kw heaters, 30kw x 9hrs/day x 6 days a week =1620 kw a week @46p/unit I buy the chaps uniform anyway but this year I have bought them bodywarmers, hoodies, hats etc and tiny bench heaters and try and keep main heating to a minimum...
