Mod Edit SOLD: Axminster HBS350N hobby bandsaw

[img]For sale is my Axminster HBS350N hobby bandsaw. I’ve had the saw for about 5 years and must have turned it on 10 times, I bought it thinking woodwork would become a hobby but turned into a career and it never gets used on the type of work I do. It is in excellent condition, no rust on the...

    Pedestal table design question.

Thanks for all the replies, I've been trying to find the original sketchup file from when I first drew it out but no luck, would have been nice to refer to all the dimensions. I did talk to the customer briefly about the size of the table for 8 people and they basically said it would be once in...

    Pedestal table design question.

Thanks for the reply Mike, much appreciated! You're correct the idea behind the 6' diameter is to seat 8 people, I was worried about warping, tipping etc etc on 6' so I'm hesitant to make it any bigger. Would you think it needs to be vastly bigger to get the chairs under fully or will another...

    Pedestal table design question.

Hello, I've been commissioned to make a solid Oak pedestal table for a customer of mine but I have a few things I'm not sure of. My usual line of work usually involves man made boards and the odd bit of softwood so a solid oak table is a bit out of my comfort zone and also my work normally...

    Teak/Iroko question

Thank you for getting back to me Sam, the 7" x 36" x 1" would be absolutely perfect! if you could lop it in half making two pieces 7" x 18" x 1" that should make the postage a little cheaper. Just get back to me whenever you can mate there no rush you've obviously got a lot on your plate...

    Teak/Iroko question

Hello, I've got a job to do for a customer which originally required me to make a lutyens style garden bench from solid teak with a round plaque on the back with the customers design cut in. Sounded good at first until I researched how much teak cost and had to have a lie down to get over the...

    Help identifying some veneered MDF

Hello, I've been asked to replicate some wood paneling in a customers snooker room but I'm unsure of the type of verneered board that's been used, does anybody know what it might be? Any helps appreciated, cheers. (Sorry for the quality of the pictures, the top two are without flash and the...

What wood glue do you use? (merged)

I mainly use PVA 502, I buy it 5 litres at a time from tool station for about £13 and I've never had a problem. I used to use titebond and I did like it until read somewhere it was just normal PVA with a yellow dye in. I don't think that's strictly true there's probobly more to it than that but...

Latest job: Fitted wardrobes, quite a few fitted wardrobes

I used my small domino machine to place 4x20 dominos to make alignment easy then glued and screwed together and filled the screw holes as its all painted. I basically made it as a free standing wardrobe then lifted it into place and fixed to the wall and floor then put filler prices between...

    Advice needed on bathroom woodwork

Hello, I've recently completed some wood paneling at a clients house and they are that happy with it they have asked me to do the same in their bathroom. I've used standard 18mm MDF and 3mm hardboard but I'm a little concerned about the materials in the bathroom. I'm going to use moisture...

Latest job: Fitted wardrobes, quite a few fitted wardrobes

I used this bit with a copying ring and run it around a rectangular jig . . . and then I used this bit with a bigger copying ring around the same jig which moves it further in to the centre of the door. . . after that I ended up with a profile like this, which gives the illusion of a...
