Axminster metal turning lathe now sold. Union Graduate short bed variturn lathe still available.

Hi Steve, David ( Bluekingfisher ) is viewing the lathe on Thursday if he doesn't take it I will take some pics and send them to you.

I have asked my ex if she can take some pics but they are not very accessible at the moment and she is unable to move them on her own, will try and get over to take some but not sure when that will be, rest assured you will not be disappointed with either lathe or the extras that are included.

Hi David, Yes it comes with the stand, drill chuck and either a 4 jaw or 3 jaw chuck and some brand new tooling and carbide inserts ( I only used it twice ) bought the tools just before we split up in September, quite a few other bits in the cabinets built in to the stand but can't remember...

First up is a variturn Union Graduate short bed lathe which comes with several tool rests, various chucks and some tools, and a lot of bowl turning blanks which would cost upwards of £200 alone, this lathe is in lovely condition and runs like a well oiled sewing machine. Next up is a Axminster...

Everything I ordered arrived today ( well done Axminster ) the lathe is an absolute joy to use, so quiet and smooth. The chuck is as good as any others I have used in the past. Will be ordering a trend air shield pro tomorrow :wink:

Ordered the new lathe, chuck and extra jaws last night, the chuck is on back order but the rest should be here tomorrow :D Cheers for all the help guys :wink:

Thank you, that's good enough for me, I will order the SK100 along with a selection of jaws when I order the lathe :D

The SK 100 was my initial choice but a couple of reviews saying the jaws were out of true put me off slightly.

I am about to order a Axminster AT1416VS lathe ( tomorrow ) but can't make my mind up as to which chuck to buy, I really like the pen jaws that Axminster sell so I was leaning towards a Axmister chuck but some of the reviews I have read are putting me off, which chuck would member recommend? I...
