I have now converted this lathe to electronic variable speed. 0-3000rpm with current motor and inverter. The inverter is the limiting factor.
The old motor and variable speed pulleys etc. are now surplus to requirements if anyone is interested.
I recently got a Macallister flip over saw that needed fixing. I have got it working but there appears to be the odd bit missing, like a dust shroud for table saw mode and also the mitre guide. Anyone got any info that might be useful?
Update.
The new belt arrived today, well done Royal Mail.
It is a perfect fit, in fact I had to move the motor further along the adjusting slots. I am getting the full speed range and no bottoming of the belt at either extreme. It is also considerably quieter.

Thanks, but I've already seen that thread and it doesn't help with sourcing the belt. When the new one comes I will update this thread with the results. It should be here by Friday.
