    You shouldn't need to turn the machine on its side. Should all be accessible, albeit by removing guards in situ. Have you got a manual for it? It shows exploded diagrams of all drives and parts.

    Has this problem just started, or is the machine new to you? I have the same machine and at first it took a bit of getting used to engage the activation lever.

    What a waste!

    We live in France and most things very expensive. Have you considered ordering from a manufacturer in Germany or Spain? Delivery would not be much than delivery within France. We considered side panels as per previous photo as they are very common in Spain.

    Thank you for your quick response. Simple solution for the extraction. I now realise that the safety pin stays permanently in the vacuum cover. Sorted now. All good. Thanks again.

    New to the forum, first post. I bought this machine second hand sometime ago and have used only the saw and planer functions. Decided to use the thicknesser and everything functions. However, the pin for the vacuum exhaust will not fit through the hole. I think the previous owner may have used...
