    Trimming doors.

    To trim my doors i use my Eumenia Radial Arm Saw which has a cut of 600mm . The saw is very accurate and very reasonably priced but not as robust as the more expensive options available but i have had it for 5 years and its still going strong.

    Filling blemishes

    I tend to simply drizzle boiling water on any of my dents and wait for it to dry, ( rubbing with saw dust will speed up this drying process ). The fibres usually lift back to their original shape or stand slightly proud and then sand flush. :wink:

    90 degrees

    Have any of you chaps owned or used the Eumenia radial arm saw. Bit cheap but very accurate, seems fine for my pine anyway. :)

    Getting rid of a finish

    Like i said though scraping is definitely the most economical,cleaner way to get rid of the wax. Once down to the bare white pine the belt sander will easily remove any wax that is hiding in the grain and will not clog the belt. I've tried dissolving the wax but with coloured waxes the stain...

    Hi, i'm a new boy here so thought i would finally add a post . When i remove wax from pine i find that the most quick and economical way to do it is scrape it off with a wide scraper ( maybe a wallpaper stripper ) held at 90 degrees to the wood and drag it . To try and sand clogs the belts or...
