Covid-19 in-home antibody testing research study

Just chipping in on this a little, my Son had one of those come through just over a month or so ago. It appeared to be working back then as initially I thought it was for me as we have the same name. Wasn’t until I was going through the questions that I realised it was for him. This was on...

This would be my first purchase of anything like this (planer thicknesser) My tool range is wide meaning I have the cheapest drill press from Aldi to a festool track saw - its the accuracy that generally narks me with the cheap stuff, that said I've never needed to use any depth stop (which...

    WIP: Bench from Pallets

Cool! I might have another go at these things then (or make some more firewood!) I'm guessing though that if you cut these suckers then the end result is you are leaving both halves embedded in the wood - so don't go near it with a plane !

    WIP: Bench from Pallets

Hi there Ryan! May I ask how you managed to salvage the wood from the pallets? Sound like a silly question but SWMBO had a similar idea (using pallets) to make some garden planters so typically - came home one night to a stack of pallets and the 'there you go' look in her eye. My problem...

is this a sort of 'dunk dunk dunk...' kinda noise? If it is, I've got it too. I was wondering if was something that needed to 'bed in'. I have been watching this instructional DVD to see if I could hear something similar but the machine noise is edited quieter. Wayne.

Wood choice for a 'buryable' treasure chest?

This thing reminds me of 'National Treasure' Good film! Anyways - there is a set of 'Resolute Desks' which contains a hidden locking mechanism that opened secret panels ... Mmmm sounds like a plan? Maybe a piece of furniture thats passed down the generations... heck you could even come up with...

Hi All, Interestingly Morrisons have a 3pack for £5.00 - has 3 sockets and 1 remote (that can do 4 channels / sockets) If you catch them in - they were also selling single sockets with a 4 way controller £3 a pop but - if memory serves - 2 for £2.00 - so you could get 4 singles cheaper than...

    CAD for Kitchens

Hi Tom, If you are playing with spaces and layout you might want to have a look at the Ikea kitchen planner. It's a free download and will let you play with the basic building block shapes. Obviously this isn't for custom cabinets etc but from what I came across in the uk, most cabinet sizes...

First Project - Rustic Chest WIP

Do you mind if I ask which one it is? I haven't got anything like that at the min and have to buy my wood planed all round and would guess there is quite a premium in doing so. Wayne.

    Ideas for a wood store

Hi all, Again thanks for all you input here, I think I might need to rethink the end goals a little here. I was kinda thinking along the lines of something like those outside log stores you sometimes see on the outside of cabins. I don't think having a fully enclosed store would go down too...
