I did this when I cut the interior ply and OSB for my man-cave. Cutting to tape measure lines was accurate enough for building work because the framing isn't 100% accurate.
I don't think it matters what you make in your shop as long as you're enjoying doing it. Obviously this doesn't apply if you're doing it for money, but if it's a hobby don't feel guilty about where you spend the time.
I've got the MFT and have given up on using the hinged rail in favour of using dogs because there is too much slop on the pin on the nearside end of the system. There are aftermarket solutions to this slop but it seems like when you've spent all that money it should just work.

Have you considered the noise? Neighbours can get very unhappy at the high-pitched shriek of a router at night and over the weekends or if your compressor fires up at 2am.
I designed for this in building my man-cave by putting 100mm rock wool in the walls and ceiling and facing the doors and...
I've got the same kind of floor in my house. I put laminate from B and Q down on top of 5mm foam (Diall 5mm Extruded polystyrene foam Laminate & solid wood flooring Underlay panels | DIY at B&Q).
The underfloor was very dodgy but the laminate flooring has held up OK for 5 years so far.
I suffer from allergies so I am a bit paranoid about dust. I started with a bathroom extractor but it didn't do much. I've currently got a Record 400 aircleaner mounted under the ceiling and a 350mm extractor fan (Industrial Ventilation Extractor Metal Axial Exhaust Commercial Blower Plate Fan...
I've got an Axminster TS200 which I bought in 2015. I really don't like it for a number of reasons I won't go into here.
I've also got a bandsaw, mft, kapex and tracksaw (I wasn't married when I started my tool collection). I could probably do without a table saw but it's convenient to have. I...
I forget to open the blast gates and the power crushed the bag cage under my filter. These things suck like a beast!
Did you have a blockage somewhere?
I bought the DX4000. I wish I'd bought the DX5000 as emptying the 4000 is a pain.
I ended up buying a 100m cyclone with a plastic bag under it from Axminster. It'd have been cheaper to get the DX5000 first time.
I've been sailing for about 10 years. I absolutely love it and have worked up from a small plastic boat to a high-speed one man catamaran (that dumps me into the water frequently).
I recommend joining a sailing club. My club (Gurnard Sailing Club) offers all sorts of training at a fraction of...
I do Google Ads full time, most of my clients run smaller businesses. Happy to discuss the pros, cons and potholes with a fellow woodworker.
If you want to stalk me a little I've written a lot about Google Ads from a business perspective at www.pete-bowen.com
