    I ended up getting it Bought a sliding mitre saw, now I can easily do a lap joint and notch out for other timber :-) by pdtnc, on Flickr The Depth Stop works reasonably well and the timber only needs a light sand to finish a lap joint :) It helped me finish this off: Bought a sliding mitre...

    ha ha... If I had a choice back in School, knowing what i know now.... I'd be an Osteopath, at £40 per Half Hour its way better than all the hard labour I've done :D

    Thanks, I hadn't spotted that when I looked through the PDF the first time, to quote it says "The depth of cut can be preset for even and repetitive shallow cuts."
