Any knowledge of a Rojek MSP 310M P/T.

Thanks @Nick Laguna UK . I actually read a Fine Homebuilding article that reviewed the 310 and it outlines the differences Vs the 315 same as you have. It's a little odd that the seller gives specific details on the refurbishment work but then posts a stock internet image of a similar machine...

Any knowledge of a Rojek MSP 310M P/T.

@HOJ That's some good sleuthing on finding the photo! Emmm, have to wonder why would the seller use an image of a different machine and not the machine he is selling. Its not even the same model! I've request some more photos of the machine. Interesting to see what is posted!

Any knowledge of a Rojek MSP 310M P/T.

Dear all, There is a Rojek MSP 310M P/T (240 volt) for sale on eBay: Only a single photo on the ad (why oh why do people only put up 1 photo!), It looks clean, from the photo and is described as: "Refurbished with new Electro Mechanical Brake and Full Wave rectifier August 2023 £471.60...

Supply required to power Digital Phase Convertor

IIRC the UKPN engineer said it was a three phase head but the cable is not 3 phase. I know you can see a "4 head"? but I think that was just used regardless of the cable. I'll have to confirm with the engineer

Supply required to power Digital Phase Convertor

There is a 3 phase head but there is not a 3 phase supply. I'm actually going to get back in contact with the ukpn engineer (who did previously did a site visit) and request a quotation to install a 3 phase supply when the cutout is moved to its new location.

Supply required to power Digital Phase Convertor

@Sideways & @Spectric many thanks for your comments, really helped me decide what route to go. I think for now I should stick with assembling 240 volt machines, maybe get a 16amp circuit installed but forget about having 3 phase in the garage. There are too many variables with the existing...

Supply required to power Digital Phase Convertor

That's just plain disrespectful. I'm a carpenter, not a shuttering carpenter.

Supply required to power Digital Phase Convertor

@Spectric from reading very informative previous post from yourself and others I'm satisfied that the VFD/invertor route is not for me. Too techy, Its DPC or I'll work with the existing 240v supply. You are spot on regarding the Wylex board, although its probably one of the more modern...

Record Power Sabre 350 - A minor rant; or things you should be aware of when purchasing.

Hopefully you feel at peace now post vent! So the question is, if you were again in the market today with ~£1200 to spend would you again buy the RP Sabre 350 or buy something else?

Supply required to power Digital Phase Convertor

Thanks @Sideways. This is what confuses me, if we expect 50% efficiency from the DPC and require 4Kw output do we then need a 8Kw "labelled" DPC: in my builder calculations (8Kw DPC x 50% efficeney outputs 4Kw).

Supply required to power Digital Phase Convertor

Hello all, I'm a carpenter by training but having recently purchased a victorian house in need of significant refurbishment I have decided to assemble a workshop so I can produced millwork and joinery "in-house". The 5m x 5m garage/shed that I will be setting up the workshop is located at the...

3 phase to 1 phase electrics?

Having read the Phase Convertor thread I think getting a digital phase convertor installed is the better solution for me. Spec'ing and installation of a vfd would be a bit too techy for me.

3 phase to 1 phase electrics?

Hello @Jacob just wondering if you got anywhere with understanding the feasibility of converting 3P machines to single phase? I've only single phase supply in the workshop I'm assembling, and as the building itself only a stopgap I'm not intending to upgrade the supply to 3P. However, as a...

Morticers recommendation: Sedgwick, Multico K or Multico M series

The seller said it works fine, for what I paid I don't mind if some tinkering is required. I'll put her operating in a few weeks and report back. As far as I know they weight ~220kg, the seller had some looking when I pulled up to collect it with just my wife with me in the truck! I have a...

Morticers recommendation: Sedgwick, Multico K or Multico M series

So morticer has been acquired and safely back in HQ @Jacob as it happened after you recommending your machine I found one buried in eBay for auction. You really need to have a good rummage around eBay, as I thought I had search it well prior to seeing this, the sellers photo was poor and really...
