    Bandsaw blade advice

    I recently realised the benefit of changing blades depending on the job. The less teeth the faster and courser the cut - so good for deep sawing and re-sawing. The more teeth, the finer and slower the cut. Better for more detailed work. Sorry can't comment on the specific blades you mention. Nick

    Its the bulkiness on the inside and the fact that her grandma and aunt had some which kept slipping so the door never fitted properly. I have pointed out that they were screwed into probably 25 year old chipboard and ours would be in solid english ash, but she's a hard woman to get round! Nick

    Hi all, I am making some cabinets for our kitchen and the Mrs. really doesn't like the normal spring loaded hinges usually used in kitchens. Can anyone suggest a good alternative? All I keep coming back to is a pair of 2" brass butt hinges and some kind of magnetic or ball catch. Any ideas...

    Workshop lighting - daylight bulbs?

    I use fluorescent strip lights aswell but with with daylight bulbs in(well blue sprectrum bulbs which are close to daylight). I much prefer them and they really perk me up in the winter when I go in the workshop. Nick
