Triton in the UK - problems?

Final update: I got a helpful response to my email to Triton in Australia via Sharp End in the UK so that bit's working - I was quite impressed. Sharp End have plenty of MOFs in stock and are "having no problem getting fresh supplies" but was only able to make optimistic noises about the...

Triton in the UK - problems?

Not that unique unless you know something about eBay after sales I don't  Your point about a repair being available at any price is spot on I think we're definitely on the same wavelength Krysstel. I'll keep my nerve until the end of the eBay auction (17/1) but then make a quick...

Triton in the UK - problems?

Quick update: I checked out the TRA001 on eBay at £149 + £10 PP. I've contacted the chap selling it and he seems very genuine. The product is shrink wrapped and clearly brand new. Have to admit I'm quite tempted but the warranty and future repair question is still, IMHO, a cause for concern...

Many thanks Argee (and Inspector). Yes this is extremely helpful and confirms my worst suspicion. I've just cancelled the order. I don't suppose it will do any harm to declare it was Protec. I don't actually have any quibble with them. They answer the phone promptly and are very helpful. I...

Triton in the UK - problems?

Thanks Jake - it sounds like it's probably worse than I feared. Best to know up front. Back to square one. I fancied the Triton because it would be used almost exclusively in a Veritas table. Router Raizers etc look OK but I don't want to modify the table. Anyone have any views on the...

Triton in the UK - problems?

Hi Can anyone help please I've got a Triton TRB001 on order (after my Freud FT2000 died suddenly). Great feedback from users etc - perfectly happy with my choice HOWEVER! I'm getting very bad vibes about Triton in the UK. Firstly: the supplier I'm ordering from (no names mentioned) is...
