I would also add that it would help if you added some cutting compound/oil, etc. This will make the job a bit easier and prolong the life of your cutter.
Good luck!!
I agree with you there!!! When I got divorced and my solicitor gave me her final bill my reply was, "At least Dick Turpin had the decency to wear a mask..." Daylight robbery!!!
Your life will certainly improve, remember, it won't happen overnight!!! Good luck to you.
Hello...
If you are ever in the area then I would recommend a trip to the REME Museum of Technology based in Arborfield, Reading, Berkshire.
I went yesterday, great for kids and adults alike.

Hi xy,
yeah, considering lessons... Currently hacking away at blocks of wood held in a metal working vice - not ideal!!
Thanks for your input and enjoy your carving.
Hello All...
I'm guessing most of us on this forum are hobbyists, has anyone recently made the jump from hobbyist to making a living from their hobby?
I'd be interested to hear your experiences/stories...
Cheers.
Hello All...
I'm looking at getting a decent wood carving vice. Anyone got any advise, tips, what features to look for in a wood carving vice, etc...
If you can recommend a make/model that would be great.
Thanks in advance.
