    small panel saw?

Does anyone have any recommendations for a small sliding table saw? In a previous life I had both the 3.2m Griggio and Altendorf machines. I have been looking at the likes of the Record power machine at about £1300 but am wondering about the accuracy and quality. I haven' actually seen one in...

    makita ls1018

Does anyone have a makita ls1018? I got one of these last week from axminster and don't know whether i am being picky! When the blade slows down, at the last 2/3 revs the blade moves from side to side almost as if there is a wobble washer in in it, it's not much but clearly visible. The sliding...

    Flood damage, renew floor joists?

The de humidifyers are going in on monday, the powers that be seem to think the drying process will be about 10 weeks. There is brilliant under floor ventilation and at least 1 of the other contractors on a house 4 doors away, is not renewing the joists but is having them chemically treated. I...

    Flood damage, renew floor joists?

Hi guys, I am working on the flood damaged properties in Carlisle. In the one I am working on at the moment, the chipboard living room floor was under 6 feet of water. Took the chipboard floor up and skipped it. The floor joists were renewed 10 years ago after the last floods with regularized...

It has a 4" port but seems to go down to about 1" space below the saw blade. It definately is not blocked anywhere but when i switch on the extractor the plastic sack...

    any sparkies?

The machine is about 10 years old and has run like a dream. It has a 1.5kw motor, 13 amp plug top and a B16 curcuit breaker. Impellor is running freely with no noise or scraping, no blockages. Nothing has changed regarding use, siting, etc for the last 10 years. It is a magnetic switch...

    any sparkies?

I have an ADE 2200 dust extractor. When I switch it on the motor starts to spin, probably does about 3/4 revolutions, but trips the circuit breaker in less than a second. Anyone have any ideas?

    Plastic or metal ducting?

Hello Beech, I wasn't insured at the time so not sure it would be in any database. The fire service and scene of crimes people were both pretty sure a spark in the d/c smouldered for a few hours, and when the heat reached the plastic sack it melted and bang. Am going to go with every one...

    Plastic or metal ducting?

In a previous life I had a small dust extaction system using drainage pipes. Then 1 day there was an almighty fire at 2 in the morning, fire engines all over the place. The cause, according to fire service, was started in the dust extractor. Most likely a spark from a hidden nail in some oak...
