    TS 200 Blade alignment

Saw collected and returned within a week, no thanks to grumpy courier with a pony tail who on delivering the saw reckoned he had hurt his back moving it so I would have to remove it from van and carry it myself....Thanks TNT, but no problem! Didn't have time to unpack and try out immediately...

    TS 200 Blade alignment

Well, dismantled and packed up saw table last night, fortunately retained packaging so that part was easy. Put box outside of my workshop at 8am and me and my dogs listened out for the courier until 5pm when I telephoned Axminster Tools to confirm collection had been arranged. The nice man from...

    TS 200 Blade alignment

Contacted Axminster who pointed me towards the same PDF file. When I mentioned UK workshop, a lump hammer and how does that affect my warranty they said they would collect my machine tomorrow and sort the problem. Pain in the neck having to remove all of the extras but no use to me as it is...

    TS 200 Blade alignment

Well, had a go at this problem this morning armed with Rhossydd's suggestions, re tighted the table mounting bolts and prepared to belt the front spacer with bar and hammer, but couldn't see (as Rhossydd mentioned) why the front should have this problem. One thing I wanted to check before I go...

    TS 200 Blade alignment

Thanks for your replies Steve and Rhossydd. Rhossydd you are obviously very familiar with this machine because what you have described sounds spot on. Will retighten the 4 mounting screws and then follow your instructions / suggestions. I am looking for 1mm at the front but hadn't resorted to a...

    TS 200 Blade alignment

No Blade needs to align squarely with table, before getting fence to align ( that might become a further issue down the line) Gerry

    TS 200 Blade alignment

Have read several explanations of how to align TS200 blade but can't seem to get it right. Have slackened off 4 corner nuts holding table top and loosened front and rear adjusting blocks . Plenty of movement at rear but cannot get front to move in direction needed to get accuracy. I reckon I am...

Hi Steve, description makes sense but would like to see the picture if possible. Thanks for taking the trouble. G

Steve, just read your post, can't get my head around the magnet thing......probably being dense so humour me and explain again. Thanks G

    Specific table saw.

Mitre saw might be all I need for tasks I mentioned in first post (glad you are paying attention!) but I do have other occasional uses for a table saw where that is all that is practical, so wouldn't want to restrict the flexibility of what I purchase, and also don't want a workshop full of kit...

    Specific table saw.

Lots to think about and so much help for which I thank you all, so glad I dared to ask the question. Its really a case of me keep reading, watch whats out there regarding used machines, and make a decision based on the advice given. Still open to more comments and info if anybody feels they can...

    Specific table saw.

Food for thought, will follow up all suggestions, I'm not in a desperate hurry so will keep an eye on what comes up....normally in the Scottish Isles whilst I'm in Cornwall and collection only!! Anymore comments very welcome and thank you all so far.

    Specific table saw.

Well Marcros, that's put the cat among the pigeons and probably blown the budget!, not being familiar with a RAS just had a quick look at uses, as you mentioned dados and yes many repetitive cuts in what I try to do. So if that is something else I could do with as well as a table saw (still want...

    Specific table saw.

Thanks for all replies so far. Had a look at kity 419 on ebay, messaged him and asked about 'sliding table' turned out to be a typo, but looks ok but perhaps if a 619 turns up as it has a cast table that would be a little better. Hadn't thought about radial arm saw, have got a Makita chop saw...

    Specific table saw.

Thanks guys, havent looked at a kity, the ts200 I thought would be ideal on paper for my needs, but all I read on here seems to be rubbish fence or problem with table not being level or the mitre kit being wrong size for groove. Maybe these complaints are few and far between and loads are sold...
