Help with a built in wardrobe.

Do you know if there is a joinery shop local to you? Most of the one off jobs I have to do from walk ins is matching a piece of coving or making round ends like in your photo. I don't think my boss charges a fortune for it otherwise no body would bother using us.

Mitre saw with good dust collection

Kapex 60 has just as good extraction as it's bigger brother and a lot cheaper. I use a 1.5m length of 36mm diameter hose on my kapex120 and it gets about 90% of the dust if you're doing square cuts

    Persuading a non payer

Unwise move by the scaffolding contractor. The client can claim harassment and/or threatening behaviour. If the police did show up then they would just tell him to remove scaffolding and leave the premises. Far better to go to small claims or get a debt collection service.

    Glue up orientation.

That looks like a piece of Douglas Fir and Sapele. You'll be fine glueing them together and as long as they have similar moisture content they'll stay straight.

Peace of mind re: asbestos roof

They're no danger unless you disturb them ,ie drill or cut. It's blue and brown asbestos that's the nasty one. For ease of mind those sheets have less white asbestos than the floor tiles that plenty of school , sports centers and hospital corridors had back in the 70s and 80s.

Blum clip top hinge loading for wardrobe doors

Maybe get the Blum heavy duty hinges that use a 40mm hole instead of 35

Blum clip top hinge loading for wardrobe doors

I'd go minimum of 6 if you're going to use Blum soft close hinges. 2400 X 750 is going to be heavy

What spacing / reveal can I get away with on wardrobe doors?

Are they inset or overlay doors? If inset can you cut a back angle to give clearance on opposite side to hanging side then can have as small a gap as you want
