Hi, I would recommend a trip to John Boddy Timber in Boroughbridge if you want nice hardwood in North Yorkshire. A word of warning, however, as you will be overcome with the "I'll just have this bit as well" syndrome, when you walk around the oddments room.

Hi Mark, Chas was close with his insert nut. Screwfix sell two varieties, which they define as types D and E. Type D has a flange, like the one Chas posted and type E has no flange, like the one you are looking for. I prefer the flanged version as well. Regards Aunsh
