The circular and trapping the existing router were both considered. I suppose the easiest thing would be to get a new fence, I presume they're relatively universal, I just need to check the rod dimensions... I think I was using this as an excuse for a new tool know I've other jobs coming up...

It's a good idea but I want to fit this now I have it, it's all about the long term solution. I'll probably start chopping into the base of the door from the hinge side, on the off chance that it is hollow. I'll just source a solid door worst comes to the worst

The worst case scenario, I can use this same cassette in a replacement solid door if needed. The office does have solid brick walls, so the door is the only factor to worry about luckily

I've check and the bottom frame has plenty of depth left, they aren't the cheapest doors I've seen
