Am I alone in giving things names? I used to call my sat nav Betty and she was such a bossy girl. Now I have a new girlfriend and she's a lot more friendly. What shall I call her?!!

well i call my scroll saw 'Hugh' as in hugh Hegner...sad i know but true!

I don't generally give names to inanimate objects, even my bikes, but without even realising I have started calling the 25" Diamond saw, "The Monster." Before I bolted it down to a flagstone, it used to chase me around the garage.

It may sound sad but all of my brooms have names. It stems from the time I had an apprentice on site with me and he was forever bringing me the soft brrom when I was outside or the stiff broom when I was inside. It was so much easier when I could say "fetch me Brian please" or go and get Barry".
