Hi all

I thought I would ask on the forum if anyone has any Veritas low angle jack, 38, 50 degree or toothed blades they wanted to sell, before I buy from a supplier.

Cheers
Dave

Hi Dave. Can I suggest that you buy the standard blades (25 degrees?) and put on your desired 38 or 50 degree bevel as a mirco-bevel. That makes it much easier to experiment with different bevels to suit differring timbers. I.e. it's much easier to reduce the cutting angle by 5 degrees on a 25 degree iron with a 50 degree micro-bevel than it is on a 50 degree iron (in the latter case you would need to regrind your primary bevel).

Cheers, Vann.
